Our website is the result of requests by our customers to purchase our high quality beading and finished jewelry items from the comfort of their homes. Our main store-front is located in beautiful Gatlinburg, TN. One aspect of our business that we take great pride in is that BeadXP owners, Glen & Susie Gothard, are artisans themselves! They have been selling their fabulous Glass and Jewelry artwork for many years. Beadxp.com is the result of Susie's artistic endeavors which began about 16 years ago, when Susie took a stained glass class, and began creating lamps, windows, and many other projects using the stained glass medium. That evolved into Lampwork Beads, using Moretti/Effetre Italian Glass. Glen also began creating one-of-a-kind Blown Glass pendants and marbles. Glen and Susie have taken classes in many art studios as well as from highly accomplished glass artists. Their beads and pendants, have been sold world-wide. They are available on the website as well as in their retail store. The creation of Lampwork Beads resulted in a desire to make fine jewelry with the beads. Going to many bead shops, in turn, led to a desire to build a friendly comprehensive bead store and help other artisans. Thus began the bead store journey. The first store was in Michigan. While traveling with friends, they discovered East Tennessee and an overwhelming desire to live and create in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains. That move resulted in a fabulous bead store located in beautiful Gatlinburg, TN. Glen and Susie have a wonderful studio where their one-of-a-kind glass works are created overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains.
